Gift Wrapped
I don't know what it is about this time of year that really gets me in the mood for plaids. Maybe it's the constant sites of gift wrapping paper and decorations all around that somehow tempts me into wrapping myself in the holiday's best plaids. My closet is quickly being taken over, as it does every year, with the tartan and checked goodness - all it's missing is a big bow!
I'm loving the collection of Thomas Mason Flannel Plaids from J. Crew this year... I think I've invested in just about every one they carry! Not one to wear a lot of bright colors, I was surprised by how obsessed I was when I spotted this one. There's just something about Christmas that persuades me to break all my inner rules of avoiding punches of color - like red - so this flannel was the perfect addition to my holiday shirt collection. There really is no reason to ever invest in an "ugly Christmas sweater" look when you can join in on the holiday fun while looking good. 'Tis the season!
