For New Yorkers, summer weekends are all about escaping the city to one of the endless amounts of outdoor surroundings there are to see. Just a couple hours in each direction out of the city you will stumble upon some pretty amazing outdoor activities... everything from beaches to mountain hiking to some beautiful lakes and rivers. Last weekend we decided to take full advantage of the sunny weather and skip town to head East to Long Island for some beach-side sunbathing and tastings of some local wineries this long stretch of island is so known for.
